Winter Wildlife Watch: What happens to the seaside through Winter!
As an island, the UK is extremely lucky in the fact that the seaside and the stunning British coastline is never too far away.
Peanuts are one of the most popular feeds for wild birds, our top quality peanut based bird foods are all aflatoxin tested prior to purchasing.
Whole peanuts are the most popular choice amongst most of our customers, it is essential to feed these from a mesh peanut feeder, especially during the breeding season to avoid the risk of whole peanuts being fed to fledglings. Good quality peanuts are high in essential protein and oil content, and will be aflatoxin free (aflatoxin is caused by a mould that develops when the peanuts have been harvested, stored and transported in hot humid conditions, this is very harmful to wild birds).
Peanut grains are essentially chopped peanuts for feeding to a variety of wild birds. Again we ensure these are of the highest quality and aflatoxin tested. Peanuts still in their shells can be strung together to hang from a branch or placed on a bird table or ground tray, our customers generally purchase these for feeding to Jays, Tits and to caged birds such as Parrots.
Peanuts are a good all year round wild bird food that will attract several varieties of Tit, Greater Spotted Woodpeckers, Nuthatches, Sparrows and many other wild birds.
