At Brinvale Bird Foods, we want your shopping experience to be as smooth as possible. That’s why we offer fast, reliable delivery — so your bird food gets to you promptly and safely.
Free Delivery on Orders Over 10kg
We’re pleased to offer free delivery on all orders weighing 10kg or more to most of the UK. It’s our way of helping you stock up without worrying about extra delivery costs.
Some postcode areas fall outside standard courier routes and may incur a small surcharge. We keep these costs to a minimum and only pass on what’s necessary.
Orders Under 10kg
If your order is under 10kg, a £5.50 delivery charge applies. If you’re close to the 10kg mark, consider adding a little extra to your basket — you’ll save on delivery and keep your birds fed for longer!
Orders under 10kg being sent to surcharge areas may have an additional delivery fee. Details are shown clearly at checkout.
Extra Charge Zones
A few postcode areas — usually remote or harder-to-reach locations — carry an extra delivery charge set by our courier, DPD. You can view the full list of affected postcodes here. Any applicable surcharge will be shown at checkout, so there are no surprises.
We do this to ensure we can continue offering a dependable service, even in more remote parts of the UK.
Next-Day Delivery as Standard
We know how important it is to get your bird food quickly, so we offer next working day delivery as standard.
Order by 4:30pm Monday–Thursday or 4:00pm Friday for same-day dispatch
Orders placed after 4pm Friday or over the weekend will be dispatched on Monday
Bank holidays may cause slight delays
For extra charge zones, delivery may take a little longer — we’ll provide estimated times at checkout.

Other Areas of the UK – 2–3 Working Days – DPD
Scottish Highlands & Islands: Up to 28kg – £6.50. Per Additional 28kg – Free
Belfast, Isle of Man, Isles of Scilly: Up to 28kg – £16.50. Per Additional 28kg – £16.50
Return & Refund Policy
We want you to be completely happy with your purchase. If something isn’t right, we’re here to help.
14-Day Money Back Guarantee
You’re covered by our 14-day money back guarantee on all bird food orders (excluding live foods like mealworms).
If you’re not satisfied, just contact us within 5 days of receiving your order. We’ll arrange a return and refund — or an exchange if you prefer — once we receive the goods back.
Returns for Damaged or Faulty Items
We offer an extended 30-day return period for any items that arrive faulty or damaged. Please contact us immediately upon delivery — we may ask for a photo so we can quickly assess the issue.
Items must be returned in their original packaging and condition. Faults don’t include items that arrive intact with no defects.
For garden furniture or larger items, please report any damage as soon as possible. Delays could affect our ability to resolve the issue promptly.

Note: Customers are responsible for return postage unless the item is damaged or faulty.
Refunds
Approved refunds will be processed within 7 working days and returned to your original payment method. Your bank or card provider may take a little longer to show the funds.
If you received the wrong item or your order was damaged in transit, let us know within 48 hours — we’ll sort a free replacement or full refund.
Exchanges
We’re happy to exchange any item that’s defective or damaged. Please contact us first at info@brinvale.com.
