The kibbled maize makes it a lot easier for wild birds and poultry to digest than the whole grain. It is high in carbohydrates and oils which are valuable for wild birds in the cold months of winter and the energetic months of the mating season.
It can be fed as a straight feed for chickens but we recommend feeding it as part of a seed mix for wild birds.
